Note, too, her use of inaccurate language: “Fighting with Trump supporters.” Alvin Gary Shaw was assaulting elderly Trump supporters. “Fighting with” is used to create moral equivalence. Fake news reporters do it, and fake cops do it, too.

WOOD TV,my local,#1 commie station,decided to put together a report on the record 2020 murder year in Grand Rapids--and air it in prime time(9pm--pre-empting "Law and Order SVU"--which is never done.)
Ken Kolker,a decent,White reporter in his 50s,usually handles the major crime stories of the area and his style is to refrain from sugarcoating his stories.
This,however,was a one hour special that was so full of sweetener,one had to think that the majority of diabetic viewers would pass out from sugar shock--ten minutes in.
He talked to cops,black politicians,black morticians,black mothers who lied about their sons,"being good boys"--all presented as sympathetic figures.
What WOOD focused on in this report--in attempting to explain WHY the city had 38 murders in 2020--were excuses for black behavior--which turned the program into a lazy,gutless piece of reporting.Ken Kolker claimed that the number one reason(excuse)for 38 murders occurring--and which 99% of the interviewees agreed on--was simply the pandemic.
Whoever he talked to,blamed coronavirus,but as the one honest person,they allowed on the special to be heard,succinctly observed,"in 1993,the year that had held the previous all time number of murders(33)--there was no coronavirus--it was something else then--AND now."
Here's what I think of the pandemic excuse:blacks used COVID-19--as they did George Floyd--to allow their true selves to unleash their violent personas on whoever and whatever was nearby.They saw an opportunity to take advantage of media incitement--in the Floyd case--and break every law they could think of,robbing burning and killing.
The gang warfare--which accounted for at least 90% of the murders in Grand Rapids--was not blamed much at all--instead,it was the virus,"making the blacks crazy"(my quote,summarizing a shrink's and cop's explanation of it all.)
I'm assuming Kolker was pressured not to be too tough on the blackies and Mex from upper commie management--and he wasn't.
It made for a pointless hour of wasted time.

Even in rather medium size towns such Grand Rapids or even a small town such as Benton Harbor lots of gang violence. It is EVERYWHERE.
