Neighbors of a man in his 80s who came under attack intervened Thursday night and shot the alleged attacker multiple times.
"Neighbors Run to Aid of Man in His 80s, Shoot Attacker."

Exactly.NNN news' interpretation will be along the lines of:
"Good evening,a black man,armed only with a pipe,was shot dead by whites,after the black victim knocked on a door of an 80 year old white man for an undisclosed reason,before he was shot dead by a white mob."
And THAT's the way it isn't--to paraphrase Cronkite.

That is quite a rarity of persons getting aid from their neighbors in such dangerous circumstances. Everyone willing to place themselves in danger. But the man under attack was elderly.
