He was gifted as a composer, but his "singing" was almost-always hideous caterwauling. It speaks volumes that the "icons" of Black music are the screamers and shriekers like Stevie, Aretha, and James Brown, while class acts like Dionne Warwicke, Sammy Davis, Lou Rawls, et al are sent to History's dustbin (the one who may have been the best of them all, Richie Havens, passed on recently with little fanfare). If you can actually sing, you are considered "too White"!
I am a dissident journalist, whose work has been published in dozens of daily newspapers, magazines, and journals in English, German, and Swedish, under my own name and many pseudonyms. While living in internal exile in New York, where I am whitelisted, I maintain NSU/The Wyatt Earp Journalism Bureau and some eight other blogs (some are distinctive but occasional venues, while others are mirrors), and also write for stout-hearted men such as Peter Brimelow and Jared Taylor. Please hit the “Donate” button on your way out. Thanks, in advance.

I really liked Stevie back in the day, I realized what a racist he was.when he threatened to boycott Florida because of the Zimmerman case.
