The Daniel Penny trial went to the jury december 3rd; jury is expected presently to come to a verdict (or a mistrial)
“(zh) the jury in the trial of former Marine Daniel Penny began its deliberations on dec. 3.
“the 12 men and women must now decide whether Penny’s actions were justified when he put Jordan Neely, a mentally ill [translation: black] homeless man, into a headlock on may 1, 2023, and wrestled him to the ground, or whether those actions crossed the line into manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide, as prosecutors allege.
“the trial has captivated the attention of much of the nation and the world, and protesters sympathizing with Neely have assembled outside the courthouse at 100 centre street almost every morning while it has been underway.”

JURY REVIEWS VIDEOS AND (black)MEDICAL EXAMINER'S TESTIMONY ABOUT PATHOLOGY
ReplyDeleteNEW YORK (AP) — Jurors asked Wednesday to review police and bystander video at the heart of the chokehold manslaughter case against Daniel Penny as his lawyers complained that the Marine veteran was being harassed outside the New York City courthouse.
On the second day of deliberations, the anonymous jury also asked to rehear part of a city medical examiner’s testimony. The request included her testimony about issuing a death certificate without getting toxicology test results for Jordan Neely, the agitated subway rider whom Penny held around the neck for roughly six minutes.
Penny has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.

Cynthia Harris, the pathologist is NOT black.
ReplyDeleteA couple weeks ago,I saw the article where she testified and I swear I saw a black pic associated with her--but apparently is not. She's just probably "woke".

A hung jury is possible at this point. I thought a fairly quick decision was coming--same day. Now you have to lean the other way.
