Ex-boyfriend shot, killed by current boyfriend after argument outside SE Houston Denny's, police say
N.S.: Why do the cops always say, "after argument"? There was no "after argument." Did the two bfs agree, "O.K., the argument's over, now we can reach for our weapons and draw"?

Brings new meaning to Denny's "Grand Slam Breakfast."
A/K/A "Cardiac Arrest on a Plate."
The "current" bf has been replaced already by another thug.
ReplyDelete"NEXT--number 22,now serving #22."Maybe they said it on the Denny's PA system--just that quick.

ReplyDeleteNot really -- probably the unhealthiest part of a Grand Slam Breakfast (link) is the pancakes, albeit it is better to consume less cured meat (bacon, sausage) rather than more, in part due to the chemical additives -- so the healthiest parts are probably the eggs and butter.
Growing evidence indicates government diet advice centered around avoiding fat and limiting meat has been catastrophically wrong, leading directly to the obesity epidemic as well as epidemic levels of the so-called 'diseases of modern civilization', e.g. diabetes and heart disease -- due to decades of propaganda, including food advertising, the average American associates 'low fat' with 'healthy', but that appears to be 100% wrong.
Perhaps the best person to follow for a popular interpretation of the science behind this is P D Mangan: Nitter/P D Mangan -- substitute twitter dot com for nitter dot net to find him on Twitter; but Twitter limits how far into a timeline you can browse if you're not logged-in.
He also has a website: Rogue Health & Fitness
Gary Taubes, author of the influential book Good Calories, Bad Calories, tweeted recently that even the establishment is starting to recognize this dietary paradigm shift:
Twitter/Gary Taubes -- Signs that the paradigm may now have shifted. ... The ADA offers guidance on low carb and very low carb diets... for the 1 in 7 adults who have type 2 diabetes
The carb heavy convenience food industry, which via lobbying also heavily influences the FDA and other 'health' organizations, is massively resisting this.
The argument. Always the argument. The parking spot, the cigarette, the quarter. A look, glance or stare. And the girl friend or the ex girl friend too. Those people sure argue a lot. No one can ever back down either. The religion of macho.
ReplyDeleteDenny's food and other places loaded with heart unhealthy sodium. But Denny's food does taste good.
