Family Dollar worker, 21, is charged with murder after emptying entire clip into the back of a 49-year-old shoplifter who stole motor oil
Did he pause to reload?
Houston Family Dollar employee Antonio Batres, 21, faces murder charges after he emptied the entire clip of his Glock 9mm pistol into the back of Troy Odom, 49, who was shoplifting motor oil. www.dailymail.co.uk |
It is called a "magazine"--not a "clip"--but journalists are ignorant about guns as with many other things. And I'm sure "liberals" are glad the shoplifter didn't get kicked in the butt!
ReplyDeleteThis story ticks a lot of boxes:
ReplyDeleteHis brother, Darrell Odom, told DailyMail.com that his brother 'had his struggles in life, but was a good man.'
And:
Batres had worked at the 7545 Martin Luther King Boulevard store in South Houston part-time for two or three months.

Do an image search for 'clip for 9mm glock' and see if anything turns up.
Oh, now we are supposed to rely on Google or whatever for technical accuracy? Go to a gun site if you want to be informed.
ReplyDelete>technical accuracy
ReplyDeleteIt isn't always required, only a common understanding of what is meant -- I don't own a gun, but re handguns, in common parlance I see clip used a lot more often than magazine -- in that context, literally everyone knows what clip means.
If you go to the doctor and say your shoulder blade hurts, he'll know what you mean, even though the technical name for that is scapula.
Etc.
