She did not mean it in a offensive manner. She was just being illustrative.
ReplyDeleteThat joke has been around for over 60 years--and hasn't hurt anyone so far. I did that with the fingers on the eyes when I was a little kid--and now I'm married to a Chinese who is my favorite thing in the world. People have got to stop being hypersensitive. We need more ethnic jokes so people learn to laugh at themselves. I remember jokes about Catholics, Irish, Italians, Poles, Jews, etc.--people didn't let them bother them.
