Here is a photo from the March 20, 1954 issue of the New York Age, a black newspaper. It shows Henry Lokos, Lionel's uncle, at his Harlem clothing store.

  1. Was opposed to excessive mark ups. Business began in 1914. Harlem probably white in 1914. Excessive mark ups a code term for the negro customer we are not trying to cheat you.
