I have read that the Cuban revolution was a walkover: Castro's forces didn't get much of a fight from Batista. Also, all of Castro's attempts to export revolution elsewhere in the western hemisphere failed. Last of all, Cuba isn't such a great place to live. So I have a hard time understanding why the Left considers him to be some kind of hero.
This photo doesn't show any bravery or nobility on Castro's part, to say the least.
