By A man who faces a capital murder charge in a fatal April shooting turned himself in to the Dallas County jail Monday, Irving police said.

Bail has not yet been set for 19-year-old Brandon Taylor.

About 10:30 p.m. on April 27, police responded to an attempted robbery and shooting in the 2800 block of Cheyenne Street, near North Belt Line Road. They found Darrin McMorris and an 18-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

McMorris, who was shot in the head, was transported to Baylor University Medical Center Dallas where he later died, police said. The woman was shot in the hand.

Two other men, Rashad Cox, 20, of Irving; and Nylon Hart, 19, of Fort Worth, have been charged with capital murder in the shooting. They both also have a charge for probation violation for a previous burglary charge.

They are also being held at the Dallas county jail. Bail has been set at $1 million each.
