Charleston Massacre Blowback: Wal-Mart Capitulates, Stops Selling Confederate Battle Flag, and All Confederate-Themed Merchandise—in Store, and Online

Has the Bentonville, Arkansas-based firm, the largest company on the face of the earth, just slammed a pitchfork into the heart of the South? Is Wal-Mart so big that it is invulnerable to the working-class whites who are its shopping base? Will they simply take it, because they have been so impoverished by the globalization promoted by Wal-Mart and other powers that be that they can’t afford to shop anywhere else? Or has the retail giant, in its craven opportunism, just opened a Pandora’s Box?
Keep in mind that when big corporations submit to leftist rabble-rousers, they are submitting to people who aren’t their customers, and stabbing their actual customer base in the back. E.g., When a wannabe Michael Moore named Morgan Spurlock, who was not a McDonald’s customer, made a political propaganda film against the fast food giant entitled, Super Size This, McDonald’s submitted to Spurlock. With time, it submitted in every way imaginable to “diversity”: Refusing to hire whites in urban areas, as opposed to surly blacks, and Hispanic aliens who speak little or no English; calling itself “365Black”; going from being family-friendly to becoming crime scenes of murderous violence by racist blacks; and hiring an incompetent, black affirmative action CEO? Now, McDonald’s is on its heels.
Although the article had been up for over 11 hours, there wasn’t a single comment left standing. I left the following observations.
“The announcement by the world’s biggest retailer Monday comes as the shooting deaths of nine people … have reignited the debate over the flag’s symbolism.”
That’s a lie, in the usual AP manner that we see so often today.
Translation: The announcement by the world’s biggest retailer Monday comes as black supremacists and white racial socialists have exploited the shooting deaths of nine people … to steamroll public opinion about the flag’s symbolism, while conservatives have cowered in fear before the MSM-activist-social media alliance pursuing the politics of personal destruction, and Republicans have meekly submitted.
Since you’ve sent all previously comments down the memory hole, I guess you’ll send mine, too. Or have other people just been too terrified to comment?
“In a statement, Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart says its goal is to not offend anyone with the products it offers.”
That’s a flatout lie by Wal-Mart. It just went out of its way to offend the millions of people who bought the merchandise, and the millions of others who didn’t, but who respected the rights of the others to buy it. The company just submitted to racist rabble-rousers who don’t even shop at Wal-Mart!

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Wal-Mart says it is removing any items from its store shelves and website that feature the Confederate flag.
The announcement by the world’s biggest retailer Monday comes as the shooting deaths of nine people at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina, have reignited the debate over the flag’s symbolism. The white suspect in the shooting, Dylann Storm Roof, appeared in photos holding the banner.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said Monday that the flag should be removed from the statehouse grounds, acknowledging that to many the flag is a “deeply offensive symbol of a brutally oppressive past.”
In a statement, Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart says its goal is to not offend anyone with the products it offers.
No effective opposition to Walmart's move from its consumer base can occur. In other words yes, Walmart is too big. Complaints will diminish and be forgotten in time.
ReplyDeleteBut Wall Mart still sells products glorifying the murdering communist thug, Che Guevara:

Amazing how this goes. From what I know of the Civil War, the Southern states fight was with the Federal governments attempt to take states rights away.Slavery was the side issue but the bigger philosophical issue was state vs federal power. Now you can compare it to gay marriage. Each state was deciding whether it should be allowed without interference from the federal government.Other examples of states having the right to decide certain issues include whether gambling should be allowed in Nevada or legalized marijuana. These decisions were left up to the individual states to decide.Of course a repeat of the federal government imposing its will on gay marriage would occur with the upcoming Supreme Court ruling.Back in the 1850s and 1860s the Southern states fought against Federal power and lost.THATS what the confederate flag represents.
ReplyDeleteYeah, because Wal-Mart is just too big to go broke. Those Southern rednecks might not buy any more electronics from Sam Walton's fambly, but there are plenty of black welfare queens who buy their fried chicken isn't there? Remember when KFC was the richest company on Earth? No? I don't either. Hey is that Target Dog peeing on the Walton Family sleeping on a park bench? Maybe fifteen minutes in the future Bitch!
