The members of my Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, Tolerance and Non-Discrimination are sure to react with outrage. ‘How dare you assume that the killer was not white! Every group has killers!’

Hmm. I can recall three four other white teachers who were murdered. Let’s see how many of the killers were white.

Murdered White Teachers

Mrs. Ribit (sp?). Long Beach, New York, circa 1972: Carjacked and murdered by two black men.

Jonathan Levin. Manhattan, New York, May 30, 1997: Tortured, robbed, and murdered by black former student, Corey Arthur, 19, and Arthur’s black accomplice, Montoun Hart.

Barry Grunow, Lake Worth, Florida, May 26, 2000. Murdered by Nathaniel Brazill, a black 13-year-old honor student, who called Grunow his “favorite teacher.”

Colleen Ritzer, Danvers, Massachusetts, October 22, 2013, raped and murdered by Philip Chism, a black 14-year-old student, whom Ritzer was giving after-school help.

No white killers.

I also know of many other white teachers who were variously abused, battered, raped and maimed by black students. Of course, if racial socialism continues apace, and enough white teachers are violated, eventually racial socialists will enjoy the satisfaction of being able to say “whites murder white teachers, too,” without having to lie.

I thank the Illinois reader who sent me this story, remarking,

I am following this one closely. Orland Park is predominantly whitey [86.1 percent non-Hispanic white, and only 1.7 percent black alone] and violent serious crime is VERY rare. And Brother Rice is a mixed race school, many negroes attend. So I am suspicious if a student was involved somehow. [According to Great Schools, Brother Rice High School’s 842-boy student body is 73 percent white, nine percent black, 15 percent Hispanic, 1 percent Asian, and 2 percent “two or more races.”]

Brother Rice teacher was fatally stabbed: Autopsy

ORLAND PARK, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A longtime Brother Rice teacher found dead in his southwest suburban home on Tuesday died of "multiple stab and incise wounds," according to an autopsy, which ruled the death a homicide, the SouthtownStar is reporting.

Al Filan, 61, was chairman of the business department and a business teacher at the high school in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood. He taught at the school for more than 30 years and was a well-known soccer coach in the area.

Filan was found dead about 10:35 a.m. Tuesday in his home in the 9400 block of Georgetown Square in Orland Park, according to authorities.

They said when Filan did not report for work, police were asked to make a well-being check and found Filan lying dead on the kitchen floor.

Police had not released Filan's identity as of Tuesday night, but the Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed his death.

Orland Park police and members of the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force were at Filan's house for several hours Tuesday. His body was removed about 5 p.m.

Police quickly cordoned off the house with yellow police tape Tuesday morning, a neighbor said. Police then began going door to door, seeking information, the woman, who did not want to be identified, said.

"It was like a ‘CSI' episode come to life," she said.

Brother Rice issued a statement expressing sorrow at Filan's death, saying he had "touched the lives of thousands of students, colleagues and family members" at the school, and "will be fondly missed." He taught at Brother Rice for more than 39 years, according to the school's website.

Filan also was a former head coach of the girls soccer program at Andrew High School in Tinley Park.

Andrew athletic director Rich Piatchek said Filan most recently coached there in the 2009-10 school year, assisting both the boys and girls programs. Prior to that, he oversaw the girls program for at least 10 years, and the team won four or five regional titles, Piatchek said.

"He knew more soccer than most people ever knew, and the kids loved him," Piatchek said. "He was known by everybody in the soccer community as a guru. He was a very bright person. He knew his stuff."

Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki, a former Brother Rice teacher and guidance counselor for many years while Filan also was on the faculty, said he was sorry to hear of his death.

"He had a rough exterior, but he really had a heart of gold," Zabrocki said. "He was quite a character. He came across as a rough, gruff guy, but that's not the way he was."

A woman who answered a phone number listed for a brother of Filan said no one there had a comment. A phone number listed for a sister has been disconnected. Another brother did not return a call seeking comment.

  1. Criminologist say that stabbing someone to death is a very personal action, almost always one of hate and rage. The murderer can feel the victim's breath on their face, the hot blood, hear the screams and dying gasps.
I suppose so then, but to me any murder would be personal.

  2. My first reaction is that this is gay related. Possibly he took the wrong person home with him, a male gay hustler. It's a risky behavior that some of these closeted gays engage in. The killer could well be a diversity type, though, since a lot of them are sketchy characters who do just about anything for the price of a bag of dope.

  3. Don't forget Massachusetts high school teacher Colleen Ritzer, who was robbed, raped, and murdered by 14 year old black Philip Chism, one of her own students.

    I know I never will.
