“It’s a light, fluffy snow,” said Mayor (Wilhelm) Bill de Blasio this morning, outside of his Brooklyn home, while doing his standard snow photo op.
WPIX-TV meteorologist Linda Church set the record straight. “It’s when it’s about 15 degrees out that you have ‘light, fluffy’ snow,’” explained the veteran weatherman. This snow, at considerably higher temperatures (28-34 degrees), is “heavy and slushy.” The heavy, slushy snow is currently coming down at a rate of two inches hour, and with winds of up to 35 miles at hour, it is a horizontal snow, that blows into your hood and onto your neck.
But that’s the way it is with Mayor Bill de Blah-Blah-Blah, who lies even more prolifically than what is standard for Gotham chief executives.
One TV news reader remarked that de Blasio was shoveling the snow in front of his house, as if this were remarkable. Every New York City homeowner is legally obliged to clear all snow and ice from the sidewalk in front of his house. Besides, unlike most New York homeowners, including middle-aged and some elderly women in my neighborhood, the 6’5” de Blasio doesn’t personally shovel his snow, or salt his sidewalk. He only lifts a couple of shovels full when the cameras are rolling.
Those are campaign type photo ops, just as de Blah-Blah-Blah’s post-election speeches have all been campaign speeches.
Is de Blah-Blah-Blah already campaigning for some higher office, or does he simply have no idea what it is to govern?

All these staged photo-ops are just so phony just like the people in them are fake. It's like being in a Potemkin village; the faking just never stops. This de Bull-assio seems to be good at cranking out rhetoric but when it comes to actually accomplishing something then fergetaboutit ( NY expression I'm told).
Is he a QB or a MMA wanna be? Jerry

That big strapping 15 year old son of Bill should be out there helping the seniors to clean snow in front of their homes. That WOULD make a good photo op.
And now Al Roker is getting a lot of heat for saying the schools should have been closed during the blizzard.
And the argument is that the schools must be open AS THE KIDS DEPEND ON THE MEALS AND WILL STARVE OTHERWISE.
So there it is in a nutshell. Meals and not education.
