She was sentenced to a three-year prison term in September 1986 but was paroled after serving 15 months. Upon her release in March 1988, she was deported to her native Canada.

Someday I'll dig up from my files the old NYT story about the concert at which youngsters were dosing themselves with ketamine (pet tranquilizers). It was a multi-day affair and the article said that pounding techno drumming played literally around the clock, even as the attendees were sleeping. The NYT reporter covered all this with bland disinterest, as if this were the most normal thing on earth. And this was at least 25 years ago!
