ReplyDeleteLove to be a fly on the wall at the meeting for this one: "Ok folks! damage control time! Ideas? "Yeah, remember the nigga that snot up Umpqua college in Oregon? Maybe we could do the same for him, you know, put out a whitewashed photo and just pretend he's White. Then dig into his family tree and see if he has a White relative, then put them in the headlines. Or how 'bout this: Say he 'identifies' as being White so he really is a White man anyways.
Or we can just pretend this never happened, stupid public believes every damn thing we tell them anyways".

ReplyDeleteI did a search using "Jake Tapper Brian Cole race" and the only major outlet that has picked this up so far is New York Post. Story pops up on FB posts, Yahoo and random news aggregator sites but so far, nothing else.
I suppose it ultimately doesn't matter, they'll just say it's totally understandable Tapper assumed he was White because all these kind of crimes are White men anyways. Then they'll launch into a lecture on right wing violence reminding us rattling off names of White terrorists. I can hear those NPR sock puppets now sanctimoniously telling us that White right wing terrorism is the "real" problem and this guy is an anomaly.

Appears they are blaming Tapper specifically, not pointing out there is a media pattern of either outright changing race of perps from black to White or playing coy about race when they are black.
What's up with that bomber story? I'm confused. But not as confused as Jake Tapper. Like, it was just a couple of weeks ago all the wizards of social media assured us that it was some woman from the Capitol Police and AI technology said the way she walked was a 94% positive match with the pipe bomb planter, it was all consistent with her backstory as a college soccer player who had an injury. Now out of nowhere, ta-da! introducing in this corner, Brian Black-as-Coal Cole. Does the magic AI gait analysis machine say he walks like a girl, too?
