“court of appeals stays tariff ban by trade court--tariffs back on”

“(Breitbart) white house press secretary Karoline Leavitt said hours before the stay that the three judges on the trade court 'brazenly abused their judicial power to usurp the authority of President Trump, to stop him from carrying out the mandate that the American people gave him.

“Leavitt said that the mechanism to terminate a president’s use of the international emergency economic powers act (ieepa) exists within congress, and the matter has already been adjudicated:

“'these judges failed to acknowledge that the President of the United States has core foreign affairs powers and authority given to him by congress to protect the United States economy and national security. congress had created the national emergency act to provide the congressional framework to strike down improper ieepa use, and any questions over whether President Trump improperly imposed these ieepa tariffs were already adjudicated in congress following liberation day. congress firmly rejected an effort led by senator Rand Paul and democrats to terminate the president’s reciprocal tariffs.

“she stressed that 'The courts should have no role here.

“this is just the latest in a string of examples where federal judges have overruled Trump and imposed nationwide injunctions, which Leavitt categorized as 'dangerous.'”

  2. "HOT LIPS"--NOW "COLD LIPS" HOOLIHAN-- ACTRESS LORETTA SWIT DEAD AT 87.

(Hollywood reporter)Loretta Swit, the actress and animal activist forever known for her pioneering turn as the disciplined Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on the acclaimed CBS sitcom M*A*S*H, has died. She was 87.

According to a police report, Swit died just after midnight Friday of suspected natural causes at her home in New York City, her publicist, Harlan Boll, announced.

Swit won two Emmys for her portrayal of the Army nurse — she was nominated 10 times, every year the show was on the air except the first — and appeared on 240 of the series’ 251 episodes during its sensational 11-season run.

GRA:Pretty long run for Loretta Swit. The first three years of M*A*S*H were great with her,Wayne Rogers,Larry Linville, plus McLean Stevenson and Alan Alda, plus Gary Burghoff. After Rogers and Stevenson left in 1975,the show is basically unwatchable with Harry Morgan and Mike Farrell.
