Yeah, and GENE HACKMAN passed away at 95- the NYT has his obit buried under about 20 non-entities, including this airhead.
R.I.P. to a great actor. Here's an amusing memory of him, from a doc about "The French Connection" that ran on the Fox Movie Channel repeatedly back in the day: Gene was talking about the scene where he has to hit a black guy, and the tough-guy actor was being very prissy, saying something like, "I was supposed to slap this young black fellow, and it was just the hardest thing I ever had to do as an actor..." CUT to the real-life cop (Eddie Egan, I believe), who was on the set, saying in his Brooklynesque accent, "So I said to them, hey, if he won't do it, I will! NO PROBLEM!" Funny as Hell.
Here's his Wikipedia page (you have to see the photo of him as a 16-year-old Marine- he lied about his age to get in):

Quite a life and career! So many great movies-THE CONVERSATION, talk about a masterpiece! (better than Coppola's GODFATHERs, in my book.)
Another Liberal Democrat, alas- but how many aren't? Still, one of the last of the greats.
Or should we talk about Buffy, Whoopi, Joy, Lesta, or all the absolute CRAP (and I never use bad language, so you know I ain't kidding) that fascinates so many of the people around here?
Gene Hackman not mentioned anywhere(as of 2 am). No surprise, really. That's because of the agenda of the people you mentioned. I don't bring them up with anything but disdain, but they control the content, which is why I point them out.
A Hall of Fame actor--no doubt about it--Mr.Hackman was. In this week's Oscar broadcast, none of the nominees come close to his talent or list of great movies that he appeared in.
Hackman, his wife and dog found dead. Did HE--at 95--do such a thing--or the wife? Or an intruder? That was surprising to read. No doubt, the likely circumstances(murder/suicide)are why it isn't getting the coverage too--until now.
Liver transplant within the past year, really? Without any of the Mickey Mantle 1995 controversy. Got the transplant on June 8, died on August 13 according to ickypedia. Going, going, gone. And this iconic D-lister didn't do much better. Then again I knew someone un-iconic who went about 40 years on a transplanted liver. One never knows.
I can't remember who... but there was some idiot in the public eye who wondered out loud about the Mantle case, seriously asking "how is the donor doing?"
jerry pdx I did enjoy Buffy the Vampire Slayer, despite it's far left woke politics, it was an amusing and entertaining series. I remember when Michelle Tachtenberg came aboard as Buffy's new sister, she was cute as a bug but only around 14 or 15 yrs old and it was a rule around the set that Josh Whedon was never to be left alone with her. The script always reflected his underlying sex obsessions, especially with lesbians, and he was known for his creepy behavior on the set toward the female actresses. That he was thought of being capable of bad behavior toward a girl that young does not speak well of his behavior. However, he was the creator of the show and apparently got a free pass while the show was on, the cast didn't start complaining until the show was over. Hey, everybody there was woke, hypocrisy goes hand in hand.
I remember reading some Trump bashing by Trachtenberg, she was as woke as they come and depression, suicidal feelings, bi polar, sexual psychosis is far more common among liberals/dems/woke than more conservative people. It's actually encouraged and reinforced by the left, especially in young girls who are particularly vulnerable and end up with all sorts of "disorders" that result in suicide or attempts at suicide.

Agree with your diagnosis of woke/liberals--and throw in lgtbq types too.
