One good quake deserves another; california quake begets a 5.7 shaker in nevada

GRA: An earthquake expert I follow believes strongly in follow-up quakes, not only close by, but thousands of miles away. He believes in swarms of earthquakes—one triggering others.

“(dailymirror) nevada has been rocked by a 5.7 magnitude earthquake, the United States geological survey reported on monday afternoon.

“the monstrous tremor struck near Carson city – just outside of Reno – and was felt as far away as Sacramento, california.

“the quake hit around 3.08 p.m. local time, 14.4 miles northeast of Yerington.

“it was not immediately clear whether there were any injuries or damage due to the earthquake.

“residents in Reno, Roseville, and Sacramento have reported feeling the tremor.

“it hit a depth of .03 miles and was followed by additional aftershocks, 2newsnevada reported.
