“grand rapids, mich. (wood) — grand rapids city manager Mark Washington has been named one of the four semifinalists to be the next dallas city manager.
“the dallas morning news reports Washington was among more than 50 people who applied for the position, which was vacated in may.
“in a statement sent to news 8 on monday, Washington said this is the first job he’s applied for since coming to grand rapids in 2018.
“search firm Baker Tilly has interviewed Washington and the three other semifinalists, including interim dallas city manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert. the dallas city council will select finalists by nov. 25, the dallas morning news reports, interview them in january and put forth a job offer by jan. 17.
GRA: He was in Austin before coming here, six years ago—you can have him back. Washington turned this city into a mex sanctuary, allowed black crime and murders to hit new heights and oversaw the decline of the neighborhoods of this once decent city—teaming with outgoing lib mayor Rosalynn Bliss.
I guess he figures, she leaves, so does he. Too much to ask for, that he hightails it out of here, but fingers are crossed.
