RFK Jr. and race

RFK Jr. and race

Let me reiterate what I’ve said about RFK Jr.—“he is a pro-black democrat.”

I stumbled onto a youtube video of RFK Jr. when he was in his 20s (and still had a normal voice). He was publicizing his first book on a talk show, the name of the book, judge Frank M. Johnson Jr., a biography about a judge who forced integration onto the south. Almost 50 years later, he came out in favor of reparations for blacks—to the tune of billions [N.S.: make that trillions] of dollars. So, though I favor him as someone who might take on the drug industry and hold them up to much needed scrutiny, I oppose him for his views of blacks and how he wants to appease them.

We don’t need that part of RFK Jr.

N.S.: Frank M. Johnson Jr. was a racist monster. During the late 1980s or early 1990s, I saw a slavishly supportive tv “thing” (60 minutes?) promoting his ongoing campaign to disenfranchise Whites.

I still considered myself a “liberal” in those days, so I might just have approved of what I saw.

Funny thing is, while Bobby was a big “civil rights” man, after a bruising private meeting with notorious black segregationists (including Harry Belafonte, James Baldwin, and Lena Horne, who cursed out RFK), Bobby told a friend that you can’t meet alone with more than one negro at a time.

  1. Yeah, the whole RFKjr thing is awkward from the beginning. The race thing, the envirofreak thing, all the Dem baggage. But I have to defer to Trump on this one longshot. RFKjr might be the only one who could swing a wild sledgehammer at HHS and if there's some collateral damage, so what?. 2016 was the "Flight 93 Election" and we've waited until 2025 for the harvest, a "Flight 93 Administration".

I'm relieved he didn't pick just-another-GOP-Congress-critter, not any of the RINO governors. Ben Carson has good ideas but is too much of a gentleman to do what needs to be done at HHS.

So let's go with RFKjr to be the bull in the HHS china shop. You did good to keep Stefanik, Burgum, Noem, Tim Dred Scott, Huckabee, etc. in their own fenced-in padded pens, and to steer clear of anyone from Indiana for anything. Wonder if MTG is turning into a furious scorned woman out of the headlines on this second week post-election? Sorry, Joe Manchin, it's a "no", you're too slow of a learner, should have changed parties a few years ago if you wanted to keep the grift going.

Meanwhile, Mitch is muttering about why you didn't pick Elizabeth Dole for HHS and Colin Powell for DoD. Those were the days, eh, Mitch?

  2. Mitch would have settled for Condi Rice and his wife again--for ANY job.

  3. I was flipping channels and I settled on an episode of "Family Ties" for about 3 minutes near its conclusion for the half hour. The father was reminiscing about when he was in school, starting a left wing paper, but what I couldn't believe was what he said to another character--a right wing writer on the fledgling paper. I missed the previous 20 minutes of the show, but what he said was:"You wrote an article,'Martin Luther King--who should be called 'Martin Luther CON'.

That was AMAZING. At least I thought it was.
The episode was Season 5 episode 4,titled,"My Back Pages".

What are the chances that line would make today's sit-com script?
