Back when Redmen walked the earth, and St. John's was great: Lou Carnesecca dead at 99 (imagine how long he would have lived, if not for apartheid?!)


"I feel wonderful. If it wasn't for my legs I could run the mile": Lou Carnesecca's father wanted him to become a doctor. But Louie didn't have the brains to be an md, yet he managed to win 526 games as a college basketball coach.

  1. The first name that flashed back was Chris Mullins--I had to look him up'--and sure enough,he was a Redmen alum. 1984. Lou looked pretty good for 96...or 76!

    He had that longetivity gene,no doubt.

  2. TWO NOTES from cbs RADIO'S 6 PM NOISECAST.

    First,the humorous part: The female doing the news,read the story about Lou Carnesecca like a true pro,by calling him "Carsonecca." Practice,makes perfect,sweetheart. Wasn't that one of Johnny's characters on,"The Tonight Show"?

    She also had a story about fbi director nominee,Patel,where she described the liberal's reaction as follows:"Trump is placing people in positions of power,who he trusts will go after the people he wants to persecute."

    Hi--yoooo #2. They are literally crapping their Democratic pants about Patel. Amusing also.
