The “red shoes” thing went over my head. The rest was a sales pitch. A waste of NSU space.

You’re right, GRA. The only place for The Red Shoes at WEJB/NSU is in discussions of the 1948 movie masterpiece starring Moira Shearer by “The Archers,” Michael Powell (1905–1990) and Emeric Pressburger (1902–1988), about a ballerina who gets an obsession in her head about a pair of ballet shoes.
Therefore, I have deleted the other red shoes.
The only red shoes I know about was Judy Garland's--basic calceology.

I just watched an excellent documentary, “Made in England: The Films of Powell and Pressburger” (2024) narrated by Martin Scorsese, who became a friend of Powell’s late in life. Highly recommended.
