Christians will be slaughtered by any number of groups they attempt to help.
ReplyDeleteMartyrdom is overrated in my opinion.

The Church has been undermining society for a LONG time.
ReplyDeleteCapsule description for a religious TV program (not one of the high-profile ones) from TV GUIDE in 1964:
"UNDERSTANDING THE SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE." [That's enough to take one's breath away right there!]
"Jim Stewart teaches two boys to become more understanding toward a tough bully."
Wow, I was supposed to UNDERSTAND the psychos I went to school with? The implications of this are amazing when you consider just about everything that's going on today. Like the events in the UK, and the brutal crimes in this country, and...
How long has the mass media pushed for UNDERSTANDING criminals rather than punishing them? You remember that brilliant but evil movie, M, from 1931, which pulls the rug out from under the audience by ending with a plea for UNDERSTANDING coming from the mouth of a murderer of children (see, that brings us right back to the UK killings!).
"Understanding the Socially Unacceptable" as a concept presages gay "rights," the anything-goes behavior of minorities, the promotion of drug use, sex changes, abortion, and every other abomination of behavior. My question: how long has the CHURCH been mining this vein? Had the Communists taken over as they had nearly everywhere else?
(Ann Barnhardt blames it on this:

As I remember from the Bible, there were a number of instances where "understanding" was discarded against sinners and enemies and were wiped out by God,e.g.:The Big Flood,Sodom and Gomorrah and various pestilences, insect invasions, hail, deaths of first born of Egyptians.Yet,nowadays the "Church" has liberalized much of what was considered "sin" and seem to want us to welcome those who want to kill us and our countries.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand it,except to say,the Catholic Church has become more flexible in interpreting sin,in order to survive financially.
Almost a "black law" bending of it's core beliefs.
Throw in the Crusades, many centuries ago,and the Church has really wimped out on standing up to certain groups they used to oppose strongly.
