“(the hill) a small group of house republicans, led by rep. Matt Gaetz (r-fla.) — along with reps. Andy Biggs (ariz.), Ken Buck (colo.), Tim Burchett (tenn.), Eli Crane (ariz.), Bob Good (va.), Nancy Mace (s.c.) and Matt Rosendale (mont.) — joined with democrats to oust him in a 216-210 vote.
“tuesday marks the first time the house has ever voted to remove a sitting speaker, a historic development that will catapult the chamber into another chaotic speaker’s race, following january’s marathon election of McCarthy.
“the house is now in uncharted territory.”
[N.S.: Phrases like that have become clichés, but for all the wrong reasons. They don’t talk about “uncharted territory,” when it comes to having an illegal “president” sitting in the white house, whether it was the John Doe calling himself “Barack Obama,” or gangster Joe Biden, or the persecution of a legal president, in order to keep him out of the white house.]
“rep. Patrick McHenry (r-n.c.), a key McCarthy ally, was declared acting speaker — speaker pro tempore — chosen from a list designated by McCarthy and shared with the house clerk, a process implemented for continuity of government reasons after 9/11. members in both parties expect that the speaker pro tempore has the chief responsibility of presiding over a new speaker election.
GRA: Patrick McHenry? “Give me lib...no, not liberty—liberalism—or give me death.”
McHenry is a rino, like McCarthy.

N.S.: I hate McCarthy’s guts because he destroyed the career of the only politician in congress who wasn’t anti-White, Steve King. Meanwhile, the racial socialists and anti-Trump gopers will now return to their project of destroying Matt Gaetz.
Not sure why apparently all Democrats voted to remove him? What could they possibly have against Milquetoast McCarthy? Who would be better for them than him?
ReplyDeleteBut you gotta love McHenry speedily evicting Nancy Pelosi from her special offices.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Democrats greedy, if even McCarthy refused whatever they were demanding in exchange. They missed a Uniparty moment. You'd think they'd have picked a dozen backbencher nobodies to vote to save their McTool. They failed to seize the Uniparty Moment at hand.
Bannon twOOgettr'ed something about McHenry dismissing them all for the rest of the week so K Street can decide who they want to be the new leadership.
