“anti-woke” rap?

I posted this on Breitbart a while ago, which is like someone throwing a pebble into a bottomless well and waiting for a splash, so I might as well re-post it here (this was in response to someone who said I had “a closed mind,” because I called rap “garbage,” and said I should listen to some White rapper who supposedly was “anti-woke”):

Well, I looked him up, but I’m not going to listen to him. He may be “anti-woke,” but as someone once said, “The medium is the message,” and rap cannot by definition be anything other than nihilistic trash. No singing, no rhythm, no melody, no harmony, no one playing a musical instrument, just someone shouting out rhyme to an eardrum-crushing, repetitive mechanical drumbeat. Looking at him, I might assume he’s also got the sneering, posturing mannerisms of the genre, as well. If someone wants to deliver a positive message, rap is not the way to do it, but it seems nothing else is allowed any more...-RM

  1. When rap replaced previous black music(soul,blues,nig-pop),there was a huge drop in entertainment.Nowadays,it's either rap, country or Taylor Swift--that's it for music in 2023.At least Motown was fun to listen to. Hearing this garbage--which record companies crank out like lunch meat at a deli--is as miserable an experience as would be eating bologna or minced ham--24 hours a day.

  2. LAUGH OF THE DAY:
BIDEN CALLS nEGRO,LL COOL J,"A BOY"--AFTER SCREWING UP HIS NAME

    (daily mail)
President Joe Biden referred to legendary rapper LL Cool J as a 'boy' after mispronouncing his name at the Congressional black Caucus on Saturday night in yet another butchered speech.

LL Cool J and MC Lyte received Phoenix Awards for their musical contributions at the annual ceremony in Washington DC.

While on stage, Biden, 80, said: 'Two of the great artists of our time representing ground-breaking legacy of hip hop in America, LL Jay Cool J, uhhh...' - as the audience laughed at his latest gaffe over the rapper's name.

Biden then added: 'By the way that boy - that man's got biceps bigger than my thighs.'

The footage of his speech was quickly re-posted by right-wing RNC Research on social media where commentators swiftly pointed out that referring to African Americans as 'boy' is widely considered a derogative term.

    GRA:Not by Biden.Any fallout?I'll check later.

  3. Here's how some media is reacting--excusing Biden because he "quickly" corrected himself.Lol.Not THAT quickly.

(latestly)US President Joe Biden is again in the news for wrong reasons. Biden referred to rapper LL Cool J as “boy” in latest gaffe, however he quickly corrected himself. The president was delivering a speech to the Congressional Black Caucus on Saturday night. This is not the first time President Biden has used the term “boy” when referring to African Americans, which has been criticized as a racial epithet. Earlier this year, he used the term when referring to Maryland’s first black governor, Wes Moore.

GRA:So Biden IS a phony liberal, but we're still stuck with his administration's policies.

(NY post)President Joe Biden has been double jabbed, getting a COVID-19 shot and a flu shot, The White House confirmed.

White House physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, confirmed in a memo that Biden, 80, received both shots on Friday.

GRA:Then he proceeded to hilariously screw up LL Cool J's name and call him ,"a boy".
