“According to meaww, this was not Derrick’s first involvement in a car crash. He was responsible for a car accident in september 2018, which severely injured a pedestrian in montecito. he pled guilty to the incident and was sentenced to eight years in state prison in 2020.”

Under what circumstances is a person sentenced to eight years in prison for a “car crash”? And he pled guilty, probably to a lesser charge for a lower sentence.

The september, 2018 “car crash” case was not legally resolved until 2020 when he was sentenced to eight years in prison. Hard to believe he was in jail all that time. Certainly he was granted bail and so there was little or no “time served.”

2020 + 8 = 2028. Yet here we are in mid 2023 and he is already out of prison and involved in another serious “car crash.”

Seems rather scandalous, no?
