Does a state law prohibit publishing mugshots in Washington?

Haven’t found any info about a statewide ban in WA on publishing mugshots, although in a Q&A published on his twitter, someone working for the prosecutor’s office tells Choe there is such a law.

Note this story from 2017 (pre-George Floyd, which is when many media outlets voluntarily stopped publishing mugshots):

Too many public employees take on the role of activist. All of this is made worse by the involvement of women and their misplaced, media-driven empathy.

N.S.: As Anonymous/EAHILF implied, and I am saying explicitly, the staffer from the prosecutor’s office almost certainly lied, in claiming that a Washington state law prohibits publishing suspects and convicts’ mug shots. Already in 1985, it became clear that many DAs, most notoriously Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau (1919-2019), were racist “allies,” who routinely aided and abetted black supremacist cut-throats, and persecuted the racist cut-throats’ White victims.

Morgenthau was at the head of a criminal conspiracy to suborn perjury, and to violate the civil rights of White crime victim Bernard Goetz through a malicious prosecution, when Goetz defended himself on December 22, 1984, against four racist, black, would-be muggers: James Ramseur, Troy Canty, Barry Allen and Darrell Cabey, who surrounded Goetz (at least one brandishing a deadly weapon, a screwdriver), and demanded money from him.

Morgenthau had his ADAs train the would-be muggers to lie on the stand, and testify that they hadn’t been seeking to rob Goetz. Any honest person could see that they were attempting to mug him.

Years after Morgenthau succeeded at railroading Goetz into prison and destroying his life, and a racist, Bronx jury had imposed a $43 million civil penalty on Goetz, on behalf of one of the cut-throats, the four thugs all admitted the obvious: They had surrounded Goetz, and were demanding he hand over his money, as part of a robbery.
