28 years ago friday, Selena was tragically shot and killed
Selena Quintanilla, her music, image and legacy all still live on today. www.ksat.com |
Selena forever!
Selena is dead.
Selena is dead forever!
I used to run around the office at Deloitte & Touche saying this.
Gee, wonder why I got fired?
Time flies--and so have millions of bullets since then--from guns shot by black and Mex.

I think most whitey are not even vaguely familiar with who she was.
ReplyDelete"28 years ago"--a strange number for an anniversary remembrance from media.Hell,we don't even remember 9/11 anymore. But this is the what media does, they bring us this kind of unimportant tripe--why?They're looking to fill the endless hours of airtime that news has been given on tv stations--waaay too much.
ReplyDeleteIn Grand Rapids,30 years ago,you had a half hour news program ,three times a day.12 pm,6pm and 11pm.Now,there might be three half hour slots WITHOUT news being shoved down our throats, which they have to fill with stories like:
"Who died 28 years ago today? We'll give you the answer after this commercial break."
What crime occurred 49 years ago?
Betty Ford started"Just say No"--45 years ago today.
That's called "filler" because too many hours are set aside for news. The local stations love it because they make more money off of advertising than from network programming.
I don't consider news,"entertainment".There used to be game shows on that WERE entertaining during the day.Now we have "Trump indicted,Ukraine winning the war,LGTBQ are being persecuted, blacks are wonderful."
Click goes the tv set--OFF.
