Another Patel motel?
Probably used race-based SBA funding to purchase it.
should change their slogan to,
"We'll let another roach in for ya'."
Leave the lights OFF--you'll see less crime that way.

South Asians operate about 40% of the independent motels in this nation. How did that all come about
ReplyDeleteBack when I went on road trips and stayed in motels, I had numerous bad experiences in Indian-owned motels--that is people from India--not American Indians. The question became how to determine which motels were Indian before booking? Fortunately we now vacation in a camper and usually camp for free on public lands--no more nasty Indian motels and no worries about bed bugs. By the way, a Navajo-owned motel we stayed in was great. And one motel had cheerful, friendly Navajo ladies as maids instead of illegal aliens who couldn't speak English. One Navajo maid wore a "Support Our Troops" shirt and they greeted us warmly IN ENGLISH--unlike the illegal maids.

ReplyDeleteNumerous motels are owned by Indians here in pdx. Most are centers of prostitution and drug use. The Indian managers get kickbacks from the illicit activity in the form of money and sexual favors. Every once in a while one of them gets busted but for the most part police seem to leave them alone. Must be a diversity rule or something.
This guy probably wasn't getting compensated properly by the hookers so decided to get his payment from a guest.
