No Kristen, it was not. Just because a tiny group of zealots used it that way for a while doesn't mean you can rewrite the rules of grammar. I understand that that grammar can evolve over time but that's when it happens organically and naturally, when it's shoehorned in by a tiny number of radical zealots who are forcing their evil immoral beliefs on all of us, it shouldn't allowed.
