convicted army killer busted for 1974 execution-style slaying of two teenage boys
Murder victims Peter Zito Jr. and Don Barton or Bartron (the post reporter and her editors couldn't get the vic's name straight)
"A 65-year-old man who killed his army commanding officer over a disagreement was arrested for the 1974 slaying of two teenage boys.
"Criss, who had been living in iowa, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder, the department said."
That's ridic. The boy and the young man were killed execution-style. It was premeditated, first-degree murder.

Yup, they definitely need to start looking at some cold case unsolved murders where this guy was possibly involved. He had an auspicious start as a killer at 17. Highly doubt he took a break after he served his twelve years.
