Woody Allen—Whom Rick Moranis Used to Imitate on SCTV—Comments on This Crime

When I was a lot younger, I’d walk down the wrong street in New York City and become a Jewish pinata, at the mercy of a crazed black street gang—so much so—I had to give up taking walks without my bodyguard, Slomo. NOW, it’s so bad, someone who just LOOKS like me, gets a beating.

I have to apologize to Rick Moranis—it’s all my fault, though his parents’ DNA probably had something to do with it, too—and his impersonation of me—possibly registered in this black thug’s craw.

No, that’s too ridiculous to even contemplate—blacks don’t watch SCTV—they watch cops—to find out why they haven’t seen Uncle Leroy at Christmas the last five years.

If you want to know, my new play, Play it Again, Sambo, lasted seven days—off Broadway...obviously, my depiction of Samuel Little as a muse to give my movie character advice on dating, was deemed “inappropriate,” but it was worth a shot.

The only person I know who paid for a ticket to watch it, was Tony Roberts—and he thought he was going to a massage parlor.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I recommend a great youtube video of Rick Moranis as Woody Allen and Dave Thomas as Bob Hope, in their second city spoof, “Play it Again, Bob.”

The impersonations are magnificent.

Play It Again, Bob (Part 1 of 2)

SCTV

“Woody sees a Hope film and is inspired to give him a call. Hope happens to be in town doing a show with the Village People so they get together. Hope suggests some rewrites of Woody’s script.”

Play It Again, Bob (Part 2 of 2)

SCTV

“Woody realizes Hope has him writing a road picture and feels he’s losing control. Bing Crosby appears to give Woody some encouragement and tips on handling Hope. Woody calls Hope to do 9 or 10 holes before breakfast, on him. But the golf game doesn’t go so good. In the end, Woody goes with the flow.

“‘Stick with me and the only thing that will make you sick is standing on solid ground.”

N.S.: This part is even better than the first. Adding der Bingle, and doing him so well (who was that?) was sublime!

  1. Isn't that sumpthin'?One of the greatest bits of comedy ever. Dave Thomas did Bob Hope imitations for years--plenty more on YouTube.

That was Joe Flaherty, from SCTV,imitating Der Bingle.

I just wanted to let you know, that about 8pm tonight,I started getting some light flashes in the corner of my right eye. That could indicate a number of things.I'm going to get it checked out tomorrow--and depending what happens,I might not be on here for a while.I'm a realist.

In any event,it's been great to be a part of this blog--and hopefully,I will again.

    Wish me luck

  4. GRA,

I'm very disturbed to hear that. That could be TIAs. Until you can get to a sawbones, take aspirin! A 325-grain (full adult apirin), ideally with enteric coating (buffering), at least once in the a.m. and once in the p.m., more often if you get the attacks more often. I started getting blurriness in my left eye, accompanied by dizziness, on June 3, and went back to my older regime of taking aspirin as heart attack and stroke insurance. The Boss hypothesized that my troubles were due to a side effect from one of my meds for something unrelated. I was supposed to get tested for it, but had a conflict with a (White) corporate health-care worker, and never got there for the test. However, I haven't had the attacks for about a month now.

Once you've overcome this hurdle, send me an email address for easier communication.

"A transient ischaemic attack (TIA) or 'mini stroke' is caused by a temporary disruption in the blood supply to part of the brain. The disruption in blood supply results in a lack of oxygen to the brain."

To add a bit more to the sucker punch subject, I speculated earlier about how many of these sucker punch attacks may never even get reported, especially by liberal Whites. A few years back a White woman on the street was sucker punched by a negro football player named Rashad Bobino, the punch was witnessed by an MMA fighter named Roger Huerta who proceed to knock Bobino out. You can see a video of the incident here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9JpeKKBScA
Kudos to Huerta but interestingly the lady who was sucker punched from behind never reported the attack to the police or filed any kind of charges. Was she one of those White liberals who didn't want to make a fuss because it was a black man who struck her? I think it's very possible.
Bobino never filed anything against Huerta either, he was at least aware enough to realize with a video of him sucker punching a woman from behind he wasn't going to get any sympathy from a judge and jury, well, unless the judge was black and the jury very diverse (mostly black). Dana White had no problem with what Huerta did, he said "I would expect any of my fighters to stand up for a woman who had been attacked".
It's unknown why Bobino struck the woman but I will say that when you combine poor impulse control, innate violent tendencies, racism and a low IQ, that's the sort of thing that happens.

  6. I was thinking more along the lines of a detached retina.I'm going to the eye doctor first to eliminate that possibility.

Thanks for the best wishes N.S. and Jerry.I did take some aspirin--I'm almost a doctor since I take care of my mom and have had to diagnose strokes and various other maladies for a while. So I did that immediately. It's when I move my eye or look at this tablet that it occasionally occurs.

I'll try to keep you posted.

  9. People ask
How does a retina become detached?

As the vitreous separates or peels off the retina, it may tug on the retina with enough force to create a retinal tear.

    GRA:Fortunately that didn't happen to me."Nothing to worry about,"though a follow-up is needed.

"If you ever see flashing lights,a ton of floaters or dark area come over the eye, that's a detached retina."

They took lots of pics and the eye was okay, though the flashing, hairlike, sliver of light I'd see is the result of the vitreous gently tugging on the retina, but no problems(now).

    That's all folks.
