cold case murder on Paula Zahn
The Paula Zahn show has a 40-year-old cold case rape-murder being shown on the id channel at 11 a.m. et on tuesday. And also on saturday at 1 p.m. et on hln.
The White victim, Dawn Koons, was killed in her Bakersfield, California apartment on January 12, 1979. On June 5, 2019, her black killer, one Prentice Foreman, was found guilty, 40 years after the crime.
For nearly four decades, Bakersfield law enforcement were convinced the victim's (White) ex-boyfriend was the killer. When advanced dna techniques showed he was innocent, they were unhappy. They finally tested a black neighbor in the apartment complex. Surprise, surprise. Foreman's dna matched the semen sample.
The crime had the usual brutality in these cases--the victim was posed in the bathtub.
google "Dawn Koons, Prentice Foreman" for several articles on the case. I had never heard of it before seeing the on the case with Paula Zahn episode.

Posed in the bath tub as was the case with the 3rd wife of Drew Peterson the ex-cop. Woman found dead in an empty bath tube but her cause of deff was originally thought to be drowning.
ReplyDeleteOffice Stacey Koon of the Rodney Glenn King so called beating the LA Riots 1992. Koon the name Dutch. How ironic that an officer called Koon was in charge of the cops at the scene.
