Starling Marte comes to my country, and sucks tens of millions of dollars out of Americans’ pockets, yet I’m supposed to root for him?

That was many years ago.
“‘It was just one of those euphoric moments that just kind of took over,’ Marte said through team interpreter Alan Suriel. ‘After that, that's when the lineup really got it going and they were battling and battling, and we were able to take it to another level.’”That was after Thursday’s game in Philadelphia, which the Mets won with a seven-run ninth inning, coming back from a 7-1 score to win, 8-7.
Starling Marte is 33 years old, and is in at least his 16th season of professional baseball in the U.S.
Too many players from s. of the border was the overwhelming reason I stopped rooting for the White Sox years ago.I could take one Abreau, but the plethora of Garcias(3 in the line-up at one time),Ramirezs,Quintanas--and many more--did the trick.Baseball,in general,I gave up when they jumped on the blm bandwagon.
ReplyDeleteDon't miss it,but I do miss rooting for the White players I used to see even 10 years ago. Then the flood of Mex imports came in.

Well, yes, sure, that one guy is not making an effort.
ReplyDeleteBut how about those millions of students in K-12 bilingual programs ... um ... and their teachers who want them to fully participate in the glorious melting pot and embrace their adopted home country's culture ... er ...
I guess not. Never mind!
