More slavery USA

That same pattern of behavior. Dark-skinned persons [hispanics in this case] enslaving other dark-skinned persons. Rather lenient sentences for a rather severe crime.

    Plea deal:

The defendants, Nery A. Martinez Vasquez, 54, and his wife Maura N. Martinez, 54, had previously pleaded guilty in August 2021 to the charge of conspiracy to commit forced labor.

Government prosecutors are paid the same rather they go to trial or not -- it's a lot easier to just offer a low sentence in exchange for a guilty plea -- most judges don't care; it's also easier for them to just go along.

  2. Correct. 95 of all convictions are a plea deal. Court system would breakdown otherwise. Tells you how much crime USA.
