black-on-White Murder on nbc dateline saturday night
Halley’s Comet must be next. A notorious black-on-White murder is featured on nbc dateline saturday night at 8 p.m. ET, a two-hour show.
In 2008. 16-year old Meghan Landowski was found murdered in her home. She was alone at the time. Meghan had been stabbed 43 times and sexually assaulted [raped]. The killer left DNA.
There was a suspect, an acquaintance of her parents who turned out to have made advances to her, but he was cleared. He didn’t match the DNA, and was somewhere else at the time.
The DNA was tested for “ethnic” origin. Investigators were shocked when it turned out the killer was black. It turned out to be one Robert Lee Barnes, a classmate of Meghan’s who rode the same school bus. it turned out Barnes thought Meghan’s friendliness entitled him to have sex with her.
Barnes made up a wild story of going to Meghan’s home and finding a White man in a ski mask who did the killing. The local black community believed him, and expensive lawyers were hired. But just before trial Barnes pled guilty to a 42-year sentence.
The dateline show was first shown in 2019 but I missed it then. GRA’s friend, Lester Holt, is the host (but not the main commentary), so it will be interesting to see dateline’s version. Will it be “Barnes was only 16 when he killed Meghan Landowski, so he should be released?”
YEP, she was nice to him, so he wanted to be nice to her. And when she said no he went berserk and killed her.
ReplyDeleteWhite dude in the ski mask. Sounds like Jussie. Negroes can tell the race of the perp even with the face covered. They can "tell". Negroes can sense and "tell" things whitey cannot.

ReplyDeleteYup, he just "happened" to be there when the White guy with a ski mask did the deed. Kinda like the CP5, along with their gang of homies, just "happened" to be in Central Park, in the vicinity and the very night Trisha Meili was raped and nearly beaten to death. You'd think black thugs dondu nuffins, they just got the worst luck in the world.

ReplyDeleteRunning an occasional feature like this gives them plausible deniability if challenged about not covering black on White crime. But they'll never show these types of crime in proportion to how often they happen. This one B on W crime is good for 20 hysterical features on W on B "crimes", or at least incidents they define as crimes.
I've seen the episode. There are many things to unpack, just a few for now. The killer wasn't part of the story until there were only 30 minutes left. They spent well over an hour on White suspects.
ReplyDeleteThey finally did a "race" DNA test. To the shock of everyone involved, the killer was black. The NBC female host kept saying the test was "Geographic Ancestral." Over and over "Geographic Ancestral." The Portsmouth VA police did look at black suspects, but gingerly. The actual killer should have been a Person of Interest a week after the killer's race was determined. It took months.
The Portsmouth black Community supported Barnes unconditionally--"Every time a White person is killed you frame a black guy." The legal denouement was hurriedly wrapped up. Portsmouth officialdom negotiated a plea for 42 years. The Portsmouth "community" was split. Wonder why?
Nicholas, I hope you will watch it. We would like your opinion. The Meghan Landowski murder hits all the bases covered at NSU/WEJB the last 15 plus years.
I checked it out at about 9:45 pm,when they were interrogating the black perp. The whoppers these blacks tell the cops are insane concoctions--"White guy in a mask(blue eyes)."
ReplyDeleteBloody footprints of barnes--no one else."White guy FORCED ME to have sex with her,"said b.s.barnes.
I heard nothing about race mentioned--except by barnes.
If I have to write a black's name down from now on,I may not decide to capitalize it.The black thugs don't deserve it--their actions relegate them to a lower class of animal life--black on White murders especially.

There was a suspect, an acquaintance of her parents who turned out to have made advances to her
ReplyDeleteTurns out it was a rather obvious suspect, one who had a rather obvious motive, and who was fingered by her parents:
Dateline NBC Premiered ‘The Call’: Navy Dependent Meghan Landowski Found Stabbed to Death in Portsmouth, Virginia Home (May 10, 2019)
At the link above, it says she actually had a (I presume coerced) sexual relationship with the initial white male suspect, who was much older:
Chris and Angie Shortt [ed: parents] believed Robert Hickey killed Meghan and they called NCIS at Naval Station Norfolk to let them know what happened. NCIS questioned Hickey. Robert Hickey was a military officer who was on his way to the rank of Captain when he was accused of sexual assault by Meghan. Robert was a close friend of the family and NCIS believe he groomed Meghan for a sexual relationship. Meghan said Rob began touching her when she was 14 and by age 15, Meghan was having a sexual relationship with a 30-year-old man. ... The family supported Meghan as she pressed charges against Robert ...
The following CBS link notes an obvious possible motive:
"48 Hours: NCIS:" To Catch a Killer
Only a few months prior to her murder, the teen confided to her parents that the man, who had served in the Navy with her stepfather, had been touching her inappropriately. The subsequent NCIS investigation that followed meant he stood to lose everything, including his retirement.
About this:
The DNA was tested for “ethnic” origin. Investigators were shocked when it turned out the killer was black.
Perhaps the reason for the 'shock' (I'll take your word for it) is that up until that point they had a rather obvious suspect with a rather obvious motive, and interracial homicide is relatively uncommon (compared to intraracial) -- I'm sure the people investigating the case were probably aware of the latter fact.
I don't think I was aware that DNA could be tested for ethnicity. This,in itself,is evidence enough of the differences of the races.I MAY have heard this recently--on another case, but let it slide by,for some reason.
ReplyDeleteWhat sayeth those who believe "all men are created equal?"
Obviously they are not.I wonder what differentiates Whites in blacks in DNA--and the ramifications thereof.
The topic is fascinating--and not talked about by pro-black groups.
