GRA: I assume he’s not living ANYPLACE where the nigs can find him.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Police Department has released the name of the officer who fatally shot 26-year-old Patrick Lyoya earlier this month.

“In the interest of transparency, to reduce on-going speculation, and to avoid any further confusion, I am confirming the name already publicly circulating — Christopher Schurr — as the officer involved in the April 4 Officer Involved Shooting,” GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom said in a Monday release.

[GRA: “Someone” had been circulating Schurr’s name—supposedly.
N.S.: They have to stop calling these “officer-involved shootings.” They’re black felon-involved shootings.]

Schurr is on administrative leave, stripped of his police powers, until both the internal investigation from GRPD and the separate investigation from Michigan State Police are complete, Winstrom said.

In a statement, [black] city manager Mark Washington said Winstrom had given him a heads up he was releasing Schurr’s name. He said he “support(s) the decision and appreciates (Winstrom’s) leadership and commitment to transparency.”

Videos show what led up to GRPD officer shooting
The announcement comes after weeks of family, community members and civil rights activists — including Rev. Al Sharpton’s [sic] at Patrick Lyoya’s funeral last week — calling on grpd to release the officer’s name. Winstrom previously said he would not release the name unless or until the officer was charged.

“Are you saying … that if he’s never charged, we’ll never know his name? Are you setting a legal precedent now that if a policeman kills somebody on video tape that he’s holding down and shoots in the back of the head, that if the grand jury don’t charge him, that we will never know his name?” Sharpton said at the funeral. “I come from New York to tell you that we’re not going to let that precedent stand.”

[GRA: If he isn’t charged, technically, there’s no need to release his name. He won’t work in Grand Rapids again anyways—even if charges are not filed. N.S.: Someone in his own department had already betrayed him days ago, before Sharpton’s statement, when said backstabber posted his name on twit. Supporters of colored criminals praised “twitter” for doing it, as if it were a person. Note that twit has thousands of Gauleiter who block informative twits by people on their enemies’ list. Note too that Winstrom was not setting a legal precedent; when a racist black thug tried to kill a White county cop seven or eight years ago, and the thug’s family lied and asserted he’d only had a sandwich in his hand (“St. Sandwich”), the st. louis county police refused to release the White cop’s name.]

Patrick Lyoya’s father, Peter Lyoya, said since learning of his son’s death he had two wishes: To see his son’s body and to learn the identity of the man who took his son’s life.

Peter Lyoya said he was not made aware [N.S.: Why should anyone have made him aware? Another african with a Jupiter-sized sense of entitlement. He reminds me of the racist mother of illegal alien Amadou Diallo.] that police were planning to release the name of the officer Monday. He said he’s now hoping federal investigators will get involved and charge the officer.

“What is left now and what I’m asking now is for the Department of Justice to take this case and bring justice for my son Patrick,” Peter Lyoya said via his interpreter. [N.S.: “Via his interpreter”?! After seven years of sucking our blood, he’s still refused to learn English!] “I would never want another parent to go through what I’m going through, to see another kid be killed by an officer. So what I’m asking really is for this officer to be arrested, to be brought to justice and to serve some time in prison.”

[GRA: The father is a revenge-seeking inciter. His kid did everything wrong in that traffic stop—#1: Getting out of the car.]

Sharpton wants feds to investigate Lyoya death
Kent County Commissioner Robert S. Womack stood alongside Peter Lyoya Monday afternoon. Womack has been making similar demands of Grand Rapids city commissioners. He also called on the commissioners to change grpd policies.

“A young man’s life has been taken and we want to let them know that Patrick Lyoya’s life matters and we won’t stop until we get justice,” Womack said. “Justice to me is them all having their day in court.”

Womack added that he believes police withholding the name for the last three weeks was “unacceptable.”

Members of black activists united also called on police to release information about the shooting. The group has been a part of and helped organize protests in downtown Grand Rapids for the last three weeks.

After Orban's victory in Hungary I thought maybe the French would be inspired to finally get rid of Macron. It was not to be though, Macron defeats "right wing nationalist" candidate Marine Le Pen: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/4/25/loss-is-victory-for-le-pens-far-right-in-frances-election
Le Pen supporters are calling it a victory though, due to her garnering an unprecedented 41% of the vote: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/25/macron-wins-election-but-frances-far-right-has-gotten-record-support.html
Macron will continue to serve his globalists lords and masters as he continues to erase the border and socially engineer France into a turd world country: https://www.lemonde.fr/en/politics/article/2022/04/21/on-immigration-a-choice-between-continuing-course-with-macron-or-le-pen-s-hard-right-turn_5981152_5.html

  2. "when a racist black thug tried to kill a White county cop seven or eight years ago, and the thug’s family lied and asserted he’d only had a sandwich in his hand "

That is the story line from the movie "Casino" when the member of the crew doing burglaries was killed by the cops with a sub sandwich in his hand during hours of darkness.

  3. The full-size teaser foto for the story below: link

Michigan police identify cop who fatally shot black man after traffic stop

Take a good look at the fotos in the NYP article linked above: some of the lowest quality human capital on the planet, here to further the ruination of America, imported by profiteers in the refugee industry, and fawned over by unctuous politicians playing to the media.

In a statement, [black] city manager Mark Washington said Winstrom had given him a heads up he was releasing Schurr’s name.

Yeah, I'm sure the communication about that was entirely unidirectional.

Police chiefs are hired by, and serve at the discretion of, city management, including (usually) elected officials like the mayor, meaning police chiefs are below other city employees in the chain of command -- the disadvantages of this were made clear during 2020/BLM, where in many cases politicians ordered cops to 'stand down' and allow rioting and looting -- it would be better overall if police chiefs were more like sheriffs, i.e. a sort of constitutional officer sworn to uphold the law, and not necessarily bound to obey the orders of politicians.

  4. "if police chiefs were more like sheriffs, i.e. a sort of constitutional officer sworn to uphold the law, and not necessarily bound to obey the orders of politicians."

Correct. Sheriffs elected and not appointed. Responsible to the electorate.

  5. UNHEARD OF:
    WWMT--out of Kalamazoo--the station which brought attention to a sign at Layoya's funeral,"Don't Run from Police--Obey the Policeman's Orders"--just had a promo at 8:40 p.m.

    "Patrick Layoya's previous encounters with police--at 11."

A station with at least a LITTLE courage to show a counterpoint to the blm b.s.?

  7. Unfortunately,I missed the TV report live--and the station's online website has not posted the story(after a phone call from the naacp etc.?)

However,I searched for the story and found the following, courtesy freep.com:

2 previous stolen car incidents(plead down to misdemeanors).
Domestic violence assault charges in an incident involving a pregnant female(a la George Floyd).
    Multiple drunk driving stops.
Driving w/o a license(was he doing so at the time he presumably stole this car he was stopped in?)
Awaiting sentencing for a previous crime at the time he was stopped.

WWMT has apparently "disappeared" the story, but I'll check again at noon.

  8. Found the WWMT Lyoya story--it was posted today.

(WWMT)An arrest warrant was issued out of the City of Wyoming on April 1 in connection to a domestic violence allegation, according to court records.

The warrant was signed three days before officer Christopher Schurr shot and killed Lyoya during a traffic stop in Grand Rapids April 4.

It's unclear whether Schurr or Lyoya knew about the arrest warrant when he was pulled over near the intersection of Griggs Street and Nelson Avenue.

    (GRA:Lyoya knew--that's why he ran.)

Much of Lyoya's criminal record is related to traffic offenses, including three convictions for operating under the influence and driving with a revoked license, according to state records.

Lyoya's criminal record is irrelevant, according to family attorney Ven Johnson, because Schurr did not have any of that information about Lyoya.

Schurr stopped the 26-year-old because the license plate did not match the gray car Lyoya was driving, according to police.

"Whatever the initial reason to stop, we know it was not a license plate because he couldn't see it," Johnson said.
