Belarus (Byelorussia) reportedly preparing to send soldiers to Ukraine, backing Russia
Russia-Ukraine war live updates: Belarus reportedly preparing to send soldiers to Ukraine, backing Russia

Nothing would surprise me about Belarus, considering how Lukashenko has been using migrants as a weapon against the EU, going so far as to fly them from the Middle East directly to Minsk before ushering them to the Polish border.
>preparing to send soldiers to Ukraine, backing Russia
He should physically stay out of the mess in Ukraine -- it would be easy enough to rhetorically make the case explaining why Russia felt compelled to act, while offering to be a mediator in cease fire and peace talks -- what a thought: the president of Belarus should act in the best interest of Belarus.
The EU saying they will send weapons to Ukraine is also a BIG mistake.
This could all be over tomorrow if the West would insist on Zelensky's resignation and immediate new elections in Ukraine, while at the same time clearly stating NATO will permanently drop consideration of taking on Ukraine as a member -- in exchange Putin should be asked to withdraw his recognition of the self-declared autonomous regions of eastern Ukraine -- the status of those areas will be determined once a new government is in place in Kiev.
But the above makes too much sense, so it won't happen.
