The Home Where Betty White Spent Her Final Years

By N.S.

Of course, the content providers have to promote feminist talking points: She was a “pioneer,” a “trailblazer.”

  1. That was a lot of "final years". Lucky broad--not just the longevity, but the good health and money,to live pretty damn well--all that time.

Yes, I agree, we should all be so lucky to live that long but still retain our mental and physical faculties well enough that we didn't need extraordinary assistance. From what I've read about her final few years, she did need some home care services but wasn't bedridden and didn't spend years suffering from cancer or some other painful debilitating illness.

Was curious about her kids, or lack of. She never had any bio children of her own but had 3 stepchildren. One of her stepkids was a Ludden's daughter Martha, who she was estranged with for the rest of her life. Martha didn't like Betty stepping in for her deceased mother and made life very difficult for both her dad in his final years. Betty never forgave her for it and from what I've read, they never reconciled despite Martha's attempts to do so. That suggests there may have been a darker more vindictive side to Betty's sunny nice lady personal, Martha was only 13 at the time Betty married her dad and you'd think she'd cut her some slack for that. Too bad for Martha, Betty was worth an estimated 75 million at her death, I don't think Martha's going to see a dime of it.
