Harvey was an officer too. His worst crime was having sex on the ships with the young enlisted sailors. A more grave violation of the rules than the homo sex. Consorting with the enlisted. Harvey must found the temptation during a cruise just so overpowering.

ReplyDeleteI once worked with a woman who said she was converted to be a lesbian while serving in the US Navy. That was several decades ago so I guess queering isn't new in the Navy--but those in control celebrating it is.
