Since this happened in Philadelphia, and by 'this' I mean the reported lack of intervention as well as the rape, I will mention the killing of 26 y/o Amber Long, who was brutally shot to death while walking with her mother in 2014 -- today the media would probably refer to the crime as a 'botched robbery', since she was shot when she refused to surrender her purse (so there is that similarity to the Tessa Majors case: she resisted a robbery).
The case is still unsolved. And mostly forgotten. But I remember it.
It is almost certain that someone besides the killers (more than one person was involved in the robbery) knows who is responsible -- they just have not come forward with the info ('no snitch').
Her professional profile is still up on LinkedIn, which is something I not infrequently see, but always find eerie and sad:
Can we assume that she was White?I have NEVER heard of a black raping a black woman out on the streets. At home?Maybe/probably.
