I wonder -- ? -- a Challenger is a fairly expensive sports car -- other stories call the car a Charger, but Challenger is probably correct.

According to investigators, a black Dodge Challenger was going northbound on Chartres Street when its 25-year-old driver ran a red light at the St. Joseph Parkway intersection. ... HPD said the driver of the Dodge was not injured. They stayed at the scene until help arrived. According to investigators, they didn't show any signs of intoxication.

I imagine the child (a boy) who died was not wearing a seatbelt -- probably none of the other people in the Honda (his parents) were either -- did the Honda have airbags? -- did they activate?

Perhaps nothing more than a tragic accident, although running a red is a pretty serious mistake to make while driving.
