Sunday Night nfl Ratings Drop 30 Percent from a Year Ago

According to Sports Wars, the ratings for Sunday’s match up between the L.A. Rams and Chicago Bears fell FIVE MILLION viewers from last season’s opener, which collected 18 million.

Sports Wars noted, “There are blm messages still visible in the end zone and various references to the topic made during the broadcast.” (I don’t know—I didn’t watch).

“The nfl and nbc attempted to declare victory, claiming they won the time slot, but failed to note the loss in viewership.”

The numbers are falling at the same rate as the Academy Awards have been plummeting for years—now down in the five million range. How long before the NFL execs are forced to re-evaluate the politicization of sports—which is supposed to be entertainment?

For me, it doesn't matter—I’m done watching—no matter what they do, unless they start reducing blacks on their rosters to 20%.

About a year ago, the nfl and the msm asserted that ratings were down due to the China Virus. That was ludicrous because, if anything, the lockdown would have induced more home-bound viewers to watch pro football.

  1. Need to crater the ratings to really damage the NFL as a business -- TV contracts will come up for renewal at some point, and the NFL simply could not exist in its current form without TV money.

Games are unwatchable due to commercials anyway -- I can only imagine sitting in the stands stewing in frustration as everyone stands around again and again waiting for the commercial break to end so play can resume -- people make fun of soccer for the diving etc, but at least the play is continuous.

  2. Doesn't matter if the kneeling and Negro Lies Matter stuff is still displayed. Viewers are just sick of the mess and the NFL players having shown themselves for what they are. Just don't watch. Ratings drop to the bottom. I hope so.

  3. >That was ludicrous

Not quite as bad as 'diversity is our strength' though -- that has to be one of the all-time great whoppers.

  4. LAUGH OF THE DAY:LIONS LOSE ON NFL RECORD FIELD GOAL FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 51 YEARS.

GRA:I watched Tom Dempsey do it the first time on November 8th,1970 at my uncle's house.Incredibly(though I didn't watch it live),a 66 yarder does them 51 years later.Hilarious(the Lions are a jinxed football team.)

Detroit Lions stunned by Ravens on Justin Tucker's NFL record 66-yard field goal, 19-17

Will Harris squatted on the ground near midfield, his head between his legs, as a few dozen Baltimore Ravens celebrated wildly 30 yards away.

In the middle of their scrum: Kicker Justin Tucker, who handed the Detroit Lions their third straight loss of the Dan Campbell era, this one in unfathomable fashion.

Tucker made an NFL record 66-yard field goal as time expired, bouncing his kick off the crossbar and into the netting behind the goal post to give the Ravens a wild 19-17 win over the Lions at Ford Field.

"I don’t even know how to describe it," Lions coach Dan Campbell said. "I didn’t think it would make it. I know he can reach it if you kick it low, but you just — if you said that they’re going to kick a 66-yarder to win the game, you’d take those odds. But he made it. Kudos to him. They put themselves in position to do it, too. That’s why you talk about, it’s just, for them it’s how do we get one more opportunity to at least take a swing at this, because that’s why. That’s what happens."

The Lions scored all 17 of their points in the second half and were in position to give Campbell his first win as Lions coach when Ryan Santoso made a 35-yard field goal with 1:04 to play.

GRA:Until Tucker put foot to football in his last second grab at victory.IT'S GOOD!

    But I'm still not watching.
