NYPD Hunt for Man Who Mugged Victim in Central Park in Broad Daylight

“Following a struggle, the victim was punched in the face by the suspect, who proceeded to flee the park with her iPhone.”

There are two things wrong with the foregoing sentence: 1. It uses the passive voice; and 2. It refers to the perp as the “suspect.”

Following a struggle, the perp punched the victim in the face, and proceeded to flee the park with her iPhone. FIFY

Note that the NYPD’s tweet is written in better English than this article.

However, the NYPD alert clearly got the perp’s age wrong. He looks to be 55-60, rather in his mid-40s.
