Say, is Kamala Harris the New "Mattress Girl"?
"Mattress Girl" Emma Sulkowicz: The Pathetic Journey of a Manipulative Provocateur | National Review
At least for now, Columbia's mattress saga is over. Emma Sulkowicz, the student who spent her final year on campus toting a mattress to protest the school's failure to punish her alleged rapist, graduated at the end of May; so did Paul Nungesser, the accused man who says he's the real victim. Kamala Harris.
Willie Horton's mattress girl.
N.S.: Willie Horton, or Willie Brown?
Can't it be both?

There was no more concrete proof of the worthlessness of an 'Ivy League' degree than the sordid story of this psychobitch, (aka "Mattress Girl") Emma Sulkowicz.
ReplyDeleteComing from wealthy, 'professional' NYC parents (one of whom was a 'psychotherapist', perhaps a Columbia 'legacy') - what she lacked in clear academic talent, she more than made up for in well developed, feminist passive/aggressive skills.
She put them to use many times in her 'relationships' (with men - maybe with women as well), but with the aim of completely destroying her last paramour - by bringing formal charges of sexual assualt against him to the school.
Columbia did the only thing they were free to do in today's climate: accepting at face value the 'truth' of everything this headcase claimed, and expelling the guy - without anything resembling due process.
But he also came from a family of means, and fought back - uncovering months of friendly emails/text messages (incl'g after the 'rapes') and vigorous legal action against the school - which was forced to allow him to finish his senior year.
Sulkowicz 'protested' the return of this 'sexual predator' by hauling-around her dorm mattress all over campus - gaining her tremendous press - and notoriety (in addition to serious questions wrt her mental health).
She took her 'performance art' one step further by - incredibly - recording an explicit, hardcore video (titled 'violation' - or some such) in her dorm room (likely still online - somewhere).
Proving yet again, that for certain types of people (like 'Kamala' Harris), becoming 'famous' - by 'any means necessary' - is the only thing that matters.
What you do to get there doesn't seem to make a damn of a difference to such people.
