Dark Decline of Sports Illustrated
"W": The "new face" of SI. They are welcome to her. Sorry. I am not buying it.

Why?

Ugh! Not the least bit attractive--looks more like a man. I guess someone at Sports Illustrated is virtue signalling. I've never bought the magazine anyway, but I certainly have no desire to buy this one. Get woke, go broke. I did buy some Goya beans, however to help break the boycott.
ReplyDeleteOkay,I'm going to stroll down memory(and mammary)lane with SI.I had a subscription for about 6 years, beginning with the Denny McClain scandal in early 1970.A kid at school brought an issue into class,I read it,liked it and so,I'm sure I probably kept asking my folks to get me a subscription like he had.At the time, they gave you something like 26 issues for 5 bucks--as an introductory offer--to get you hooked.I got hooked.
ReplyDeleteI loved sports back then.Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, boxing and bowling. They covered everything and covered it well.In many ways,it was the "Golden Era of Sports".Ali,Namath,Bobby's,Orr and Hull, the Baltimore Orioles, the "Big Red Machine",Dick Butkus was my favorite--on and on.UCLA,in college hoops, was beyond astounding.Whenever they lost,it was as if a 9.5 earthquake had hit the entire planet.I couldn't get enough of watching and reading about sports.
Then came the swimsuit issues.Christie Brinkley,Elle McPherson,Rachel Hunter--what better way for a boy to be introduced to women?A great idea, promoting heterosexuality.
Fast forward to 2020,the idiot editors of SI today, bored with just writing about sports(I don't blame them,it's all nig b.s.)decide to be trailblazers and highlight a transgender freak--not caring about how it affects today's youth in the process.
I'm sure the ny times, usa today, wapo and cnn all praised sports illustrated for their "provocative, courageous and groundbreaking feature":"First Swimsuit Issue with TG as Cover Model".
In 1970,everything was normal.Sports was sports, and swimsuit models were gorgeous women.Boys reading SI had guideposts about how to BE normal. But anyone who's a 12 year old whitey now and subscribes to this magazine, here's what you get every week in your face:BLM crap, writers exalting black athletes--while also allowing them to spout off about what irritates them, concerning the world--mostly whitey and Trump.
Now add "degenerate transgenders in bathing suits" to the disgusting mix, telling kids--"this is normal!"
No,it's a mess, the world's a mess--and thanks to SI--which I actually think stands for "Sickeningly Ignominious" today, have contributed once AGAIN to driving society many more notches down into the cesspool the media wants us all to live in.
And worst of all,the sick bastards seem to enjoy it.

Well I screwed up.I looked at the picture of the black and saw the caption underneath about Sampaio.Still,SI HAS a trannie model--just not the black--named White.
