Breaking news at 830am:
ReplyDeleteJobless claims set a prodigious record today as 3.3 million people filed for unemployment compensation the past week--eclipsing the 2008-2009 financial crisis by 4 times the amount.
Experts were predicting "only" about 1.3 million claims. With all the businesses closed, any predictions of,or actual numbers, are probably underreported. The website used to access the requesting of compensation, was overwhelmed and will not fully reflect the short term damage.
The $1200 will come in handy to many.
