(CNN) Camille Schrier, a student at Virginia Commonwealth who advocates for drug safety, was crowned Miss America 2020 on Thursday night at the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Schrier was chosen by a panel of three celebrity judges over Miss Georgia Victoria Hill.
Schrier, who gave a chemistry demonstration on hydrogen peroxide during the talent competition, was crowned by 2019 Miss America Nia Franklin from New York.
The new Miss America told the crowd during introductions that she plans to get a doctor of pharmacy degree at VCU, in Richmond, Virginia. She has undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and systems biology from Virginia Tech.
Contestants were judged by singer Kelly Rowland, “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown and “Superstore” actress Lauren Ash [GRA: Whatta group].
Last year, the competition announced it would stop judging women on their outward appearance and scrapped its highly criticized swimsuit competition. Now, the organization says, contestants have more time to advocate for their social impact initiatives and have their voices be heard.
GRA: No bathing suit competition—no viewing from me—until they announced a winner at 9:55 pm. It’s a Miss SJW pageant now—lots of talking (which is not entertaining).
But at least a whitey won.

N.S.: “Highly criticized swimsuit competition.” That’s a lie. It was highly criticized by feminazis who didn’t watch, in the first place. The general public—you know, the people who actually used to watch the Miss America pageant—loved it. Now, ratings will tank, and the pageant will die. Thanks, Gretchen Carlson. It turns out she wasn’t pretty, after all. It was all the make-up.
