Celebrities Rally to Spare Rodney Reed

N.S.: Ever since emancipation, if not earlier, the favorite dodge of black rapists of white females has been to say that the sex was consensual, and part of an ongoing relationship.

Truth or Consequences

"We were looking forward to a beautiful wedding. We buried her in her wedding dress. Jimmy on
his own went up and put the ring on her finger. Jimmy will always be our brother-in-law."
- Crystal Stites-Hefley, Crime Online, November 13, 2019

Rodney Reed, now 51, is to be put to death by the Texas Department of Corrections, November 20, but not if a collection of celebrities and an uniformed public gets its way.

More than two million have signed on-line petitions asking Reed receive a new trial.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott or the Supreme Court could pre-empt the execution, but even lawyers for Reed acknowledge that's unlikely.

While Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Meek Mill, Questlove (who backed Jussie Smollett), Busta Rhymes, and the national media all disparage the "white jury" that condemned Reed, it's clear much about the case remains unknown to most Americans.

Indeed Reed, then 27, was in jail for a different sex assault when he was arrested for vaginally raping, sodomizing, and strangling to death Stacey Stites, 19, April 23, 1996, in Bastrop, Texas, population 8000.

DNA from semen collected from Stites' anus and breasts were identified as belonging to Reed, and only when presented with the forensic evidence did Reed claim he'd maintained a clandestine sexual relationship with the teenager.

Reed was a known sex criminal to Bastrop County authorities before the jury affixed his guilt in the killing of Stites, and he'd been tried and acquitted of one sex assault, and accused of five others.

One was a 12-year old girl, another an intellectually challenged woman, Caroline Rivas, and a third his disabled girlfriend, Lucy Eipper, mother to his two children.

Linda Schlueter, also 19, singled out Reed during a lineup and said she was abducted, beaten, and sexually molested late at night off the same thoroughfare that Stites used on her way to work six months earlier.

None of these damning details were presented to the jury who considered Reed's fate in 1998 - or largely to the curious public learning of Rodney Reed in recent weeks.

Instead, much of what the mainstream media is presenting is inadmissible hearsay implicating Stites' patrolman fiancee, Jimmy Fennell.

Fennell's conviction on sex charges in 2008 is central to Reed's current appeal, his ninth, and CBS News went so far as to present a cousin to Stites with questions this morning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3XaskCRMkM

Rodney Reed's family prays SCOTUS will hear his case

A death row inmate in Texas could learn Friday whether the U.S. Supreme Court will hear his case. Rodney Reed is scheduled to be executed in five days for the rape and murder of 19-year-old Stacey Stiles back in 1996, but he has a wide range of supporters saying he's innocent. Texan Matt Beebe at The Federalist summarized Reed's conviction this week and the pleadings being put forward now after following the case for 23 years.

"The jury found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt based upon the evidence.

"It is this same evidence that (Reed's) advocates and supplicants in the media would have you believe has either been untested or insufficiently tested. They claim there could be 'new' evidence and that investigators have 'recanted' their statements at trial.

"But is any of that true?

"No, it's not."

  2. Now that Reed has been spared (temporarily),other info is coming out AGAINST Reed--which I never even saw prior to the stay(ie,other rapes etc).If Kim Kardashian is studying to be a lawyer--and her judgement is that Rodney Reed is innocent--she'd better give up that line of work right now...lol--and stick to fluffing up Kanye whenever he wants it.
(The one and only time I heard the word "fluffer",was on the Howard Stern Show 20 years ago.A "fluffer" is a woman hired by a porn company whose only job is to keep the male porn star erect between takes of a porn scene. And you think YOU have a lousy job?).
    Anyways,that's Kimmy K's REAL profession.

  3. STACY STITES' SISTER SHOOTS DOWN "AFFAIR" CLAIM BY REED.
    (CRIMEONLINE.COM NOV 14,2019)
A Texas man convicted of killing and raping a teen girl is scheduled for execution on November 20. CrimeOnline spoke exclusively with the sister of the victim, who, despite a large public outcry to spare the inmate’s life, feels that the state of Texas has the right man behind bars.

Rodney Reed, now 51, was sentenced to death for the murder of 19-year-old Stacey Stites in 1996. Authorities arrested Reed after finding his DNA inside her body. Stacey’s body was found partially nude in a remote area of Bastrop, Texas. A medical examiner listed her official cause of death as asphyxiation (strangulation) with a belt.

Prior to her death, Stacey had been brutally beaten, raped, and sodomized. The truck Stacey drove the night of her death was found abandoned at the town’s local high school, a few blocks away from Reed’s grandmother’s home.

Initially, Reed told investigators he had no idea who Stacey was. During the murder trial, however, he changed his story and claimed he had been carrying on a secret affair with Stacy behind her fiancĂ©, Jimmy Fennell’s back.

Reed said he didn’t speak up about it before because he was afraid Fennell, who was a police officer at the time for the Giddings Police Department, would make sure he never got a fair trial.
    (GRA:Important section)
Stacey’s sister, Crystal Hefley, told CrimeOnline that not only had her sister never once mentioned Reed, but she was also obsessed with her upcoming wedding to Fennell.

Hefley said Stacey was working late shifts at an H-E-B grocery store in Bastrop to save up extra money to put toward the wedding. She was in love with Fennell, according to Hefley, and had no interest or time to pursue an affair.

“We were looking forward to a beautiful wedding,” Hefley explained. “We buried her in her wedding dress. Jimmy on his own went up and put the ring on her finger. Jimmy will always be our brother in law…..He [Reed] did not know my sister personally. We have zero doubt that Rodney Reed crossed paths with our sister that morning of April 23, 1996.”
Three witness accounts were filed in court on Monday with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. The filing also included statements from four additional witnesses who came forward recently, claiming Stites and Fennell had an abusive, volatile relationship.

Hefley questioned why these witnesses waited over 20 years to come forward, considering that at the time, a $50,000 reward was being offered for information that could help crack the case.

“They found the truck my sister was driving the morning of murder like 2blocks from [Reed’s] grandma’s house. Also, all these new witnesses coming forward…. wondering where they were when HEB, that’s where she worked, had a large reward for information.”

Supreme court documents confirmed that no witnesses came forward during the time they were searching for Stacey’s killer to implicate Fennell. It also confirmed that the people interviewed at the time had no knowledge of Stacey associating with Reed.

“For approximately a year, multiple agencies searched for Stites’s killer,” court records read. “And none mentioned that Reed associated with Stites.”

Typically they ignore history also. Like the CP5 where they ignore the fact the racist violent thugs were on a rampage that left a trail of beaten, bloodies whites in their wake and culminated in the near fatal beating and sexual assault of Tricia Meili, they ignore Reed's history of rape and sexual violence against women, which culminated in murder. The focus is always on "the falsely accused black man", a headline that liberal whites and racist blacks just love to focus on to the exclusion of any other facts or details.

  5. Reed a week prior had robbed and shot another convenience store clerk. That clerk did not die. Reed tried in both shootings to open the cash register but could not get open. Reed just plain dumb.
