Police: 2 wounded in Alabama mall shooting, gunman killed

A Thanksgiving night shooting at Alabama’s largest enclosed mall left a gunman dead and two people — including a 12-year-old girl — injured, authorities said, and sent terrified shoppers running for safety.

The incident at the Riverchase Galleria in the Birmingham suburb of Hoover started with a fight between an 18-year-old and the 21-year-old gunman, police said. The confrontation occurred in the mall shortly before 10 p.m. (11 p.m. ET), near the Footaction and JC Penney stores on the second level.

Police do not know how the confrontation began, but “we do not believe at this point the 18-year-old was armed,” Hoover police Capt. Gregg Rector said.

The gunman opened fire, shooting the teen twice in the torso.
GRA:Though no race is mentioned-ELEVEN HOURS after the incident, much can be assumed by the actions of the gunman(and other evidence),to think that this was black thug activity--on Black Friday

  2. GRA called it--blackie (with white GF)ID'ed as cause of mall shooting.
(AL) The man shot to death by Hoover police at the Riverchase Galleria has now been publicly identified.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. He was 21, and lived in Hueytown. Friends and family called him “E.J.”

The shooting happened while thousands were getting an early start at the Galleria, the largest mall in Alabama and a popular Black Friday destination for shoppers from around the state. . The gunfire inside the mall sent shoppers scurrying for cover and city officials described the scene as chaotic.

An 18-year-old male was shot and was rushed to UAB Hospital’s Trauma Center where he was in serious condition. A 12-year-old girl was also shot and wounded. Authorities said she is believed to alert and conscious at Children’s of Alabama. Bradford, shot by Hoover police, was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:11 p.m.
GRA:In this article was a pic of Bradford and his--way too cute for him--white girlfriend.Stupid girl.Guessing the race for this crime was easy.
A related black incident from the area was a picture of two blacks--who(allegedly) raped a nine month old baby and videotaped it.It can probably be googled.
One more point.Lesta had the mall shooting report on NNN,but no pic of the black thug perp,Bradford--like he does for whitey.

  3. MALL SHOOTING UPDATE LEADS TO OXYMORON FOR THE AGES:"THEY SHOT AN INNOCENT BLACK MAN"(AIN'T NO SUCH THING)
(AL.com)The family of a man killed by Hoover police at the Riverchase Galleria on Thanksgiving night has retained a national civil rights attorney following the deadly shooting.

Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr., 21, died Nov. 22 when police say gunfire erupted inside in the Hoover mall. When it was over, Bradford was dead, his 18-year-old friend was seriously wounded and a 12-year-old bystander was shot in the back. Eight other people were treated by Hoover paramedics for injuries sustained in the ensuing chaos and evacuation of the mall.

Initially police said Bradford fired the shots that wounded the other two, but on Friday night said he likely did not fire the shots that wounded the others. They did not say whether he fired any shots at all, but said he was involved in the initial altercation and brandishing a firearm.

Riverchase Galleria Thanksgiving shooting: 2 injured including girl, 12; man killed by Hoover police
Riverchase Galleria Thanksgiving shooting: 2 injured including girl, 12; man killed by Hoover police

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, out of Tallahassee, Fl., issued a press release Saturday saying he had been retained by the family. He is set to arrive in Alabama Saturday night.

Crump has previously been active in the high-profile cases, including representing the family of Michael Brown, a 17-year-old African American male, who was shot and killed by police in Ferguson, Missouri. He also represented the family of Trayvon Martin, also 17, who was fatally shot in Florida by George Zimmerman.
GRA:The protests by blacks erupted today, coverage aplenty on TV news. One black in particular yelled,"They killed an innocent black man"(right, the one who started the altercation and who was brandishing a firearm as police arrived.)
Innocent black man?I don't think so-especially in this case.
